RESUMO

Purpose: It remains unclear whether the MTHFR C677T, MTHFR A1298C and ABCB1 C3435T genetic variants are associated with methotrexate (MTX) elimination delay and high-dose MTX (HD-MTX) toxicities in the treatment of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The aim of our study was to analyze the potential predictive role of MTHFR C677T, MTHFR A1298C and ABCB1 C3435T in toxicities and the relationship between these variants and MTX elimination delay during HD-MTX therapy in pediatric ALL patients. Patients and Methods: We conducted a retrospective study on ALL patients receiving HD-MTX treatment with available MTHFR C677T, MTHFR A1298C and ABCB1 C3435T genotype and 44-h plasma MTX levels. Logistic regression analyses and chi-square tests were used to assess the relationship between the variants and HD-MTX toxicities and MTX elimination delay. Results: Genotype frequencies were in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. MTX elimination delay did not significantly differ between MTHFR C677T and MTHFR A1298C or ABCB1 C3435T. Leukopenia (P=0.028), neutropenia (P=0.034) and oral mucositis (P=0.023) were 6.444-fold, 4.978-fold and 9.643-fold increased, respectively, in ABCB1 C3435T homozygous genotype (TT) patients compared to wild-type (CC) patients. No significant association was found between the toxicities investigated and MTHFR C677T or MTHFR A1298C. Conclusion: This study showed that the ABCB1 C3435T homozygous allele genotype (TT) is associated with increased MTX-related toxicities (leukopenia, neutropenia and oral mucositis). These results may help to distinguish pediatric ALL patients with a relatively high risk of MTX-related toxicities before HD-MTX infusion and optimize MTX treatment.

RESUMO

Aniline antioxidants (ANs) are widely used as industrial chemicals in products composed of rubber. ANs originate mainly from vehicles, where tire wear particles end up in dust and soil after being deposited on roads. Nowadays, limited information is available on the fate and seasonal variation of ANs in the road environment. In this study, we investigated the occurrence of 32 ANs in dust and soil from different road environments, including road dust, garage dust, parking lot dust, and green-belt soil. The total concentrations of ANs were 369 ng g-1 in road dust, 712 ng g-1 in garage dust, and 687 ng g-1 in parking lot dust. These concentrations are several times higher than that in green-belt soil (128 ng g-1). The highest concentrations of N-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)-N'-phenyl-1,4-phenylenediamine (6PPD) were found in dust and soil. Furthermore, notable seasonal differences were observed, with significantly higher concentrations of ANs in autumn than those in spring. In the main urban area, roads with high traffic volume exhibited higher concentrations of ANs than those with low traffic volume, indicating that ANs were produced by vehicle-related sources.

RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: The 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has been recognized as the most severe human infectious disease pandemic in the past century. To enhance our ability to control potential infectious diseases in the future, this study simulated the influence of nucleic acid testing on the transmission of COVID-19 across varied scenarios. Additionally, it assessed the demand for nucleic acid testing under different circumstances, aiming to furnish a decision-making foundation for the implementation of nucleic acid screening measures, the provision of emergency materials, and the allocation of human resources. METHODS: Considering the transmission dynamics of COVID-19 and the preventive measures implemented by countries, we explored three distinct levels of epidemic intensity: community transmission, outbreak, and sporadic cases. Integrating the theory of scenario analysis, we formulated six hypothetical epidemic scenarios, each corresponding to possible occurrences during different phases of the pandemic. We developed an improved SEIR model, validated its accuracy using real-world data, and conducted a comprehensive analysis and prediction of COVID-19 infections under these six scenarios. Simultaneously, we assessed the testing resource requirements associated with each scenario. RESULTS: We compared the predicted number of infections simulated by the modified SEIR model with the actual reported cases in Israel to validate the model. The root mean square error (RMSE) was 350.09, and the R-squared (R2) was 0.99, indicating a well-fitted model. Scenario 4 demonstrated the most effective prevention and control outcomes. Strengthening non-pharmaceutical interventions and increasing nucleic acid testing frequency, even under low testing capacity, resulted in a delayed epidemic peak by 78 days. The proportion of undetected cases decreased from 77.83% to 31.21%, and the overall testing demand significantly decreased, meeting maximum demand even with low testing capacity. The initiation of testing influenced case detection probability. Under high testing capacity, increasing testing frequency elevated the detection rate from 36.40% to 77.83%. Nucleic acid screening proved effective in reducing the demand for testing resources under diverse epidemic prevention and control strategies. While effective interventions and nucleic acid screening measures substantially diminished the demand for testing-related resources, varying degrees of insufficient testing capacity may still persist. CONCLUSIONS: The nucleic acid detection strategy proves effective in promptly identifying and isolating infected individuals, thereby mitigating the infection peak and extending the time to peak. In situations with constrained testing capacity, implementing more stringent measures can notably decrease the number of infections and alleviate resource demands. The improved SEIR model demonstrates proficiency in predicting both reported and unreported cases, offering valuable insights for future infection risk assessments. Rapid evaluations of testing requirements across diverse scenarios can aptly address resource limitations in specific regions, offering substantial evidence for the formulation of future infectious disease testing strategies.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: A lack of health resources is a common problem after the outbreak of infectious diseases, and resource optimization is an important means to solve the lack of prevention and control capacity caused by resource constraints. This study systematically evaluated the similarities and differences in the application of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) resource allocation models and analyzed the effects of different optimal resource allocations on epidemic control. METHODS: A systematic literature search was conducted of CNKI, WanFang, VIP, CBD, PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus and Embase for articles published from January 1, 2019, through November 23, 2023. Two reviewers independently evaluated the quality of the included studies, extracted and cross-checked the data. Moreover, publication bias and sensitivity analysis were evaluated. RESULTS: A total of 22 articles were included for systematic review; in the application of optimal allocation models, 59.09% of the studies used propagation dynamics models to simulate the allocation of various resources, and some scholars also used mathematical optimization functions (36.36%) and machine learning algorithms (31.82%) to solve the problem of resource allocation; the results of the systematic review show that differential equation modeling was more considered when testing resources optimization, the optimization function or machine learning algorithm were mostly used to optimize the bed resources; the meta-analysis results showed that the epidemic trend was obviously effectively controlled through the optimal allocation of resources, and the average control efficiency was 0.38(95%CI 0.25-0.51); Subgroup analysis revealed that the average control efficiency from high to low was health specialists 0.48(95%CI 0.37-0.59), vaccines 0.47(95%CI 0.11-0.82), testing 0.38(95%CI 0.19-0.57), personal protective equipment (PPE) 0.38(95%CI 0.06-0.70), beds 0.34(95%CI 0.14-0.53), medicines and equipment for treatment 0.32(95%CI 0.12-0.51); Funnel plots and Egger's test showed no publication bias, and sensitivity analysis suggested robust results. CONCLUSION: When the data are insufficient and the simulation time is short, the researchers mostly use the constructor for research; When the data are relatively sufficient and the simulation time is long, researchers choose differential equations or machine learning algorithms for research. In addition, our study showed that control efficiency is an important indicator to evaluate the effectiveness of epidemic prevention and control. Through the optimization of medical staff and vaccine allocation, greater prevention and control effects can be achieved.

RESUMO

Objective: We aimed to use network meta-analysis to compare the impact of infection risk factors of close contacts with COVID-19, identify the most influential factors and rank their subgroups. It can provide a theoretical basis for the rapid and accurate tracking and management of close contacts. Methods: We searched nine databases from December 1, 2019 to August 2, 2023, which only took Chinese and English studies into consideration. Odd ratios (ORs) were calculated from traditional meta-estimated secondary attack rates (SARs) for different risk factors, and risk ranking of these risk factors was calculated by the surface under the cumulative ranking curve (SUCRA). Results: 25 studies with 152647 participants identified. Among all risk factors, the SUCRA of type of contact was 69.6 % and ranked first. Among six types of contact, compared with transportation contact, medical contact, social contact and other, daily contact increased risk of infection by 12.11 (OR: 12.11, 95 % confidence interval (CI): 6.51-22.55), 7.76 (OR: 7.76, 95 % CI: 4.09-14.73), 4.65 (OR: 4.65, 95 % CI: 2.66-8.51) and 8.23 OR: 8.23, 95 % CI: 4.23-16.01) times, respectively. Overall, SUCRA ranks from highest to lowest as daily contact (94.7 %), contact with pollution subjects (78.4 %), social contact (60.8 %), medical contact (31.8 %), other (27.9 %), transportation contact (6.4 %). Conclusion: The type of contact had the greatest impact on COVID-19 close contacts infection among the risk factors we included. Daily contact carried the greatest risk of infection among six types of contact, followed by contact with pollution subjects, social contact, other, medical contact and transportation contact. The results can provide scientific basis for rapid assess the risk of infection among close contacts based on fewer risk factors and pay attention to high-risk close contacts during management, thereby reducing tracking and management costs.

RESUMO

The growth of high-quality halide perovskite single crystals is imperative to study their intrinsic physical properties and to realize high-performance optoelectronic devices. Here, a room-temperature solvent evaporation-induced crystallization (RTSEIC) method is reported based on Le Chatelier's principle, which provides a general strategy to grow halide perovskite single crystals including 3D, 2D, 1D, and 0D, and either hybrid or all-inorganic halide perovskites. Taking 2D n-BA2 PbBr4 (n-BA = butylammonium) as an example, the room-temperature crystallization kinetics is demonstrated. The centimeter-sized n-BA2 PbBr4 single crystals exhibit an extremely small full width at half maximum (FWHM) of 0.024° in (0 0 2) plane rocking curve and a small trap density of 2.74 × 1010 cm-3 . The superior crystalline quality endows the n-BA2 PbBr4 single crystal ultraviolet photodetectors with recorded performance among reported n-BA2 PbBr4 ultraviolet photodetectors, demonstrating a detectivity reaching 1.8 × 1013 Jones, a fast response time of 55 µs and a high on-off ratio of 104 . The low-cost, simple, general, and efficient RTSEIC method is anticipated to promote the blossoming of halide perovskites single crystals.

RESUMO

Fibrous red phosphorus (RP) has triggered growing attention as an emerging quasi-one-dimensional (quasi-1D) van der Waals crystal recently. Unfortunately, it is difficult to achieve substrate growth of high-quality fibrous RP flakes due to their inherent quasi-1D structure, which impedes their fundamental property exploration and device integration. Herein, we demonstrate a bottom-up approach for the growth of fibrous RP flakes with (001)-preferred orientation via a chemical vapor transport (CVT) reaction in the P/Sn/I2 system. The formation of fibrous RP flakes can be attributed to the synergistic effect of Sn-mediated P4 partial pressure and the SnI2 capping layer-directed growth. Moreover, we investigate the optical anisotropy of the as-grown flakes, demonstrating their potential application as micro phase retarders in polarization conversion. Our developed bottom-up approach lays the foundation for studying the anisotropy and device integration of fibrous red phosphorus, opening up possibilities for the two-dimensional growth of quasi-1D van der Waals materials.

RESUMO

Bisphenol A (BPA) is one of the most widely produced compounds in the world and was listed as a substance of very high concern by the European Chemicals Agency in 2016. Because of its toxicity, many countries and regions, including China, have banned BPA addition in feeding-bottles. And the European Union (EU) has banned BPA use in other food contact materials and thermal paper. Restrictions on BPA have contributed to the widespread use of alternatives. As the toxicity of BPA alternatives continues to be revealed, the alternatives of BPA alternatives are being developing. As the most extensive alternative for BPA, bisphenol S (BPS) was proven to have estrogen-disrupting effects and developmental toxicity of the neuroendocrine system. Therefore, BPS alternatives are used in thermal paper. In this study, alternatives to both BPA and BPS are collectively referred to as bisphenols (BPs). As a pooling matrix of many indoor chemicals, dust is an important pathway for human exposure to BPs. BPA and its alternatives are routinely detected in dust. As BPS alternatives have been detected in recycled paper and sludge, it is also very important to detected in dust. However, common analytical methods for BPs have low sensitivity and contain few BPS alternatives. Therefore, a high-throughput, high-accuracy, and high-sensitivity method must be established for the determination of BPs in dust; this will lay the foundation for subsequent studies on the environmental behavior and exposure risk of BPs. In this study, an ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) method was developed for the simultaneous determination of 26 variations of BPs in dust. UPLC-MS/MS parameters of the variations were optimized to compare the separation effect and response intensity in different columns and mobile phases. The influence of the extraction solvent and solid phase extraction (SPE) on the extraction efficiency and purification effect of target compounds were optimized by using the isotopic internal standard method, and the 26 variations of BPs in dust was quantitatively analyzed. Finally, the dust samples were extracted by using 3 mL of acetonitrile and 3 mL of a 50% methanol aqueous solution in an ultrasound bath. The combined extract was further purified by using an Oasis HLB cartridge (60 mg/3 mL). The cartridge was then washed with a 40% methanol aqueous solution (0.5 mL) and eluted with methanol (2 mL). The target compounds were separated on a CORTECS® UPLC® C18 column (100 mm×2.1 mm, 1.6 µm), with methanol and 1 mmol/L ammonium fluoride solution as mobile phases and a flow rate of 0.3 mL/min. Electrospray ionization (ESI) was applied in the positive, negative, and multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) modes for the mass scan. Under optimized conditions, the linear ranges of the 26 targets behaved well linearly in their respective ranges with correlation coefficients (r2)>0.999. The limits of detection (LODs) and limits of quantification (LOQs) were assessed using signal-to-noise (S/N) ratios of 3 and 10, respectively. The LODs and LOQs of the method were 0.01-0.75 µg/kg and 0.02-2.50 µg/kg, respectively. The accuracy of the method was evaluated by conducting a recovery test at three spiked levels: LOQ, two times the LOQ, and 10 times the LOQ, with the average recoveries ranging from 83.7% to 114.9%. The precision of the method was evaluated by using the relative standard deviation (RSD). The intra-day RSDs and inter-day RSDs were 0.86%-9.79% (n=6) and 5.16%-19.5% (n=6), respectively. The established method was used to determine 11 dust samples. Fifteen BPs were detected at a detection rate of 9.1%-100.0%. The detection rate for BPA, BPS, bisphenol F (BPF), 4-hydroxy-4'-isopropoxydiphenylsulfone (BPSIP), and diphenyl sulfone (DPS) was 100.0%. BPSIP, 4-allyloxy-4'-hydroxydiphenyl sulfone (BPS-MAE), and bis-(3-allyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) sulfone (TGSA) were first detected in Chinese dust, whereas 4-benzyloxy-4'-hydroxydiphenyl sulfone (BPS-MPE), 4-hydroxybenzoic acid benzyl (PHBB), and DPS were first detected in dust samples worldwide. This method is simple, rapid, and sensitive, and is suitable for the qualitative screening and quantitative analysis of the 26 BPs in dust samples.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Paired box 7 (PAX7) has been considered as a candidate gene for non-syndromic cleft lip with or without palate (NSCL/P). However, there is no research for the XXX, and previous studies concentrated on limited variants. This study aimed to conduct sufficiently dense and powerful scans of variants at PAX7 and explored the roles of variants at PAX7 in NSCL/P among the XXX. DESIGN: Targeted region sequencing was performed to thoroughly screen variations, followed by a two-phase association analysis. 159 NSCL/P cases and 542 controls were analyzed in phase 1. Then in phase 2, the validation study was performed using 1626 cases and 2255 controls. We also explored the roles of variants at PAX7 gene in NSCL/P subtypes. Additionally, indirect associations were found by calculating LD and haplotypes. SETTING: The study was conducted in XXX. PATIENTS, PARTICIPANTS: 159 NSCL/P cases and 542 controls were analyzed in phase 1. Then in phase 2, the validation study was performed using 1626 cases and 2255 controls. INTERVENTIONS: Blood samples were collected. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: To explore the association analysis between variants at PAX7 and NSCL/P in XXX. RESULTS: The results showed that rs2236810, rs114882979 and rs2236804 were significantly associated with NSCL/P, which were predicted to have regulatory functions. Besides, variants at PAX7 function differently in the NSCL/P subtypes. We also discovered a PAX7 missense variant, NM_001135254 p.A369 V (NM_002584.2:c.1106C > T). CONCLUSIONS: In summary, we confirmed 3 SNPs at PAX7 were significantly associated with NSCL/P in XXX and identified a missense variant, NM_001135254 p.A369 V (NM_002584.2:c.1106C > T).

RESUMO

Zero-dimensional Cs3Cu2I5 is one of the most promising metal halide scintillators due to its large Stokes shift, photoluminescence quantum yields, freedom from toxic elements, and excellent energy spectrum resolution. To unlock the full potential of Cs3Cu2I5 as an effective alternative to traditional scintillators for gamma-ray detection, the irradiation stability of Cs3Cu2I5 single crystals under 60Co gamma rays with a maximum accumulated dose of 800 krad was explored. Although the luminescence mechanism remained unchanged after irradiation, the optical properties of Cs3Cu2I5 single crystals demonstrated a dose-dependent change at low accumulated doses (<600 krad). However, a further increase in the accumulated dose did not lead to more severe degradation and even slight performance recovery occurred. Electron paramagnetic resonance and theoretical calculation results revealed that the irradiation-induced Cs+-related Frenkel defects contribute to performance degradation. These results shed light on the microscopic mechanism of gamma-ray irradiation damage of Cs3Cu2I5 single crystal and provide guidance to their real application.

RESUMO

Tetracyclines are a class of antibiotics that exhibited potent activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yet only five members were isolated from actinobacteria, with two of them approved as clinical drugs. In this work, we developed a genome mining strategy using a TetR/MarR-transporter, a pair of common resistance enzymes in tetracycline biosynthesis, as probes to find the potential tetracycline gene clusters in the actinobacteria genome database. Further refinement using the phylogenetic analysis of chain length factors resulted in the discovery of 25 distinct tetracycline gene clusters, which finally resulted in the isolation and characterization of a novel tetracycline, hainancycline (1). Through genetic and biochemical studies, we elucidated the biosynthetic pathway of 1, which involves a complex glycosylation process. Our work discloses nature's huge capacity to generate diverse tetracyclines and expands the chemical diversity of tetracyclines.

RESUMO

Traditional strategies for self-powered devices face limitations in performance improvement due to the trade-off relationship between different parameters. Here, a new kind of ion-modulation self-powered photodetector is first proposed and fabricated by depositing superionic conductor RbAg4I5 on one side of monolayer graphene. The graphene homojunction is successfully formed at the boundary of the asymmetric structure due to the formation of bound states of ions and electrons at the contact interface. This kind of homojunction avoids the trade off between response parameters of traditional self-powered devices because the dissociation of bound states under light irradiation dominates the generation of a photocurrent. The experimental results indicate that the prepared photodetector can achieve great photo response with responsivity of 20 mA/W and a response speed of 700 µs for ultraviolet and visible light when no bias is applied, which is better than most existing graphene-based self-powered devices in single or overall parameters. Further, a semi-quantitative model is systematically established according to the internal mechanism and realizes a good consistency with experimental results. The work provides a new idea and offers the foundation to develop excellent self-powered devices based on superionic materials with good properties in controllability and modulation.

RESUMO

Halide mixing in perovskites has been an efficient way to engineer the bandgap, stability, and charge carrier mobility of lead halide perovskites, while its effect on the noise of lead halide perovskite photodetectors is still unknown. We present the preparation of mixed halide methylammonium lead perovskite single crystals by the solution temperature-decreasing method. Planar-structured photodetectors were constructed on the basis of these mixed halide perovskite single crystals. The effect of halogen ion substitution on the noise of devices was investigated by analyzing their dark current spectra. It is shown that the single-crystal photodetectors with higher levels of chloride suffer from larger noise thus have lower detectivity. Density functional theory calculations have also been proposed to reveal the effect of halogens on band structure. These results provide a comprehensive understanding of mixed halide perovskites and may help in the design and preparation of higher-performance devices.

RESUMO

The superior environmental stability of all-inorganic metal halide perovskites compared to their organic-inorganic counterparts makes them more promising in practical applications. Here, the stability of an archetypical all-inorganic CsPbBr3 single crystal and its single-carrier devices under 60Co γ-ray irradiation was investigated. The CsPbBr3 single crystal itself shows ostensible hardness as its structural and optical properties present imperceptible changes even with a total ionizing dose of 800 krad. Unexpectedly, the single crystal-based single-carrier devices exhibit apparent dose-dependent hardness. The performance of the hole-only device suffers from more deterioration than the electron-only device under high irradiation doses (>400 krad). Our results reveal that such a discrepancy originates from the different influences of γ-ray irradiation-induced defects on the transport behaviors of holes and electrons in CsPbBr3 single-crystal devices. These findings offer a new understanding of the interaction mechanism between γ-photons and all-inorganic metal halide perovskite-based devices.

RESUMO

Metastasis is the main obstacle for the treatment of gastric cancer (GC), leading to low survival rate and adverse outcomes in CG patients. SLC6A14, a general amino acid transporter, can import all the essential amino acids in a manner dependent on the NaCl-generated osmotic gradients. Herein, we constructed GC cell sublines with high (SGC7901-M and MKN28-M) and low (MKN28-NM and SGC7901-NM) metastatic ability. Putative functional genes advancing GC metastasis were identified using mRNA microarray analysis and High-Content Screening. In particular, most significant change with a dampening trend in the migration potentiality of GC cells emerged after SLC6A14 gene was silenced. SLC6A14 expression was positively correlated with the migrated capability of different GC cell lines, and SLC6A14 was also constitutively expressed in GC patients with venous or lymphatic invasion, lymph node, or distant metastasis and poor prognosis, thus prompting SLC6A14 as a nonnegligible presence in supporting GC migration and invasion. Consistently, SLC6A14 depletion drastically depressed GC metastasis in vitro and in vivo. Most importantly, pharmacological blockade and gene silence of SLC6A14 both restricted epithelial-mesenchymal transition- (EMT-) driven GC metastasis, in which attenuated activation of the PI3K/AKT/mTORC1 pathway caused by amino acid starvation was involved. In summary, it is conceivable that targeting SLC6A14 has a tremendous promising for the treatment of metastatic GC.

RESUMO

Ultrabroadband photodetectors (PDs) working in the frequency range from the UV to THz regions of the spectrum play a crucial role in integrated multifunction photoelectric detection. Even so, a shortage of high-performance PDs has seriously restricted the overall development of this field. The present work demonstrates a high-performance, ultrabroadband PD with a composite nanostructure comprising a suspended carbon nanotube (CNT) film on which titanium and palladium are deposited. The application of titanium and palladium to the CNT film in this device provides n-doping and p-doping, respectively, and the deposited metal nanoparticles also ensure enhanced thermal localization. This device exhibits short response time, high responsivity, large linear dynamic range, and small noise equivalent power over the ultrabroadband spectrum based on a strong photothermoelectric effect. Numerical simulation results also confirm the effective doping and enhanced thermal localization in this PD resulting from the deposited metals. A theoretical analysis shows that the thermal conductivity of the composite film is no longer independent of the temperature over a wide temperature range. This work provides a simple but novel strategy for the design of high-performance ultrabroadband PDs.

RESUMO

Background: The pharmacokinetics of vancomycin in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is an important basis for evaluating the bactericidal effect. The accuracy of using serum vancomycin concentrations only to estimate the CSF concentrations remains controversial, may lead to underdosing. Objectives: The aims of this study were to evaluate the vancomycin exposure in CSF, investigate the factors affecting the vancomycin blood-brain barrier (BBB) penetration, and to establish the prediction model of vancomycin concentration in CSF. Methods: Eligible patients were included and given a standard dose of vancomycin. At the fifth dose, the blood and CSF samples were collected 0.5 h before the start of infusion of vancomycin, and 1, 2, 3, and 8 h from the start of infusion, and were measured by the enzyme-multiplied immunoassay technique using the Siemens Viva-E Drug Testing System. Results: The AUCCSF/serum of patients with intracranial infection was higher than that of patients without (p = 0.001). The CSF concentration was relatively stable between dosing periods (p = 0.095). The area under the concentration-time curve (AUC) ratio of CSF to serum (AUCCSF/serum) in patients with intracranial infection ranged from 15.1 to 80.1% (33.23 ± 19.31%; median, 26.25%). The CSF vancomycin AUC levels were affected by the serum trough concentration (B: 5.23 ± 2.36, t = 2.22, p = 0.039), and were mainly affected by the CSF white blood cells (WBCs)/total cells (B: 113.96 ± 35.10, t = 3.25, p = 0.004) (Y = -17.86 + 5.23 × serum trough concentration + 113.96 × CSF [WBCs/total cells]; R 2 = 0.473, F = 8.542, p = 0.002). Conclusions: After intravenous administration of vancomycin, the CSF concentration curve was fluctuated gently. The CSF vancomycin concentration in patients with postoperative intracranial infection can be predicted by the WBCs to total cells ratio and the serum trough concentration, and help to adjust the administration of vancomycin.

RESUMO

Because carbon nanotube (CNT) films have high photothermal conversion efficiency (PTCE), they have been widely used in bolometric and photothermoelectric photodetectors, seawater desalination, and cancer therapy. Here, we present a simple, quick, and non-destructive method to measure the PTCE of CNT films. According to the linear relationship between the Raman shift of the G+ peak and the temperature of a CNT, the offset of the G+ peak under varying excitation light power can characterize the changed temperature. Combining the simulation of the temperature distribution, the final value of the PTCE can be obtained. Finally, a CNT film with a high PTCE was chosen to be fabricated as a bolometric photodetector; a quite high responsivity (2 A W-1 at 532 nm) of this device demonstrated the effectiveness of our method.

RESUMO

Photothermoelectric materials have important applications in many fields. Here, we joined a silver nanostructure film and a carbon nanotube film by van der Waals force to form a heterojunction, which shows excellent photothermal and photoelectric conversion properties. The local temperature difference and the output photovoltage increase rapidly when the heterojunction is irradiated by lasers with wavelengths ranging from ultraviolet to terahertz. The maximum temperature difference reaches 215.9 K, which is significantly higher than that of other photothermoelectric materials reported in the literature. The photothermal and photoelectric responsivity depend on the wavelength of lasers, which are 175~601 K W-1 and 9.35~40.4 mV W-1, respectively. We demonstrate that light absorption of the carbon nanotube is enhanced by local surface plasmons, and the output photovoltage is dominated by Seebeck effect. The proposed heterostructure can be used as high-efficiency sensitive photothermal materials or as ultra-wideband fast-response photoelectric materials.
